Overit Media was started in 1993 by its founder and current
president Dan Dinsmore. The goal of Overit Media was to grow into an upscale
design firm that catered to a wide range of client vision(s). Using multimedia
and design, we transform these visions into branded solutions. We have helped
clients move beyond their visions with a balance of attentive service and
high-impact deliverables. Whether film, DVD, print, Internet, radio, all of the
above or a variety of other destinations is your target, Overit was built to
propel you there. In the process of client engagement, in our successes as well
as our lessons learned, we increasingly become the sum of our work.
With a focus on brand and a reputation for cutting-edge
development, taking on and mastering the latest tool and parlance at every step
of the way, Overit Media was chosen by a large client in 1995 to design a
national campaign involving cutting-edge Internet distribution and promoting.
The medium shift was on and Overit Media was at the gate early transporting
clients from product (CD) to service (Internet). A worldwide record label,
alert to this envelope-pushing attitude and ability, came on board next. Overit
Media quickly became a leader in the ever-changing world of the Internet.
At the same time, keeping our hands in the product vicinity,
Overit Media branded the US West produced CD-Rom series for the Chicago Bulls.
The Denver Nuggets followed suit. Next was the production of The Colorado
Avalanche enhanced CD-ROM for Sprite. Overit Media spent much of this time
perfecting its video and audio for multimedia standards, video/audio editing
and animation for content delivery systems.
As Overit Media continued to grow through the 90’s, the
company began to tighten the vision of Dan Dinsmore. We want to offer our
clients a place where they know they are receiving the very best attention and
a focus on detail for all media.
With
this in mind, Overit Media focused its efforts on encompassing, world-known
clients such as Renassaince Hotels and Universal Records. We have at every step
of our growth, tackling every aspect of media campaigns, keeping adept with the
technologies at hand, moved toward becoming a truly full-service, integrated
new-media agency.
Eventually, Overit Media set out developing a product suite
for the client type we had, spawning the
Online Module System or OMS, a
diversified tool set that could completely run a client's Web site. The OMS
allows for simple updating of text and image content in real time for multiple
sites. It enables the client to update in any online programming language
(meaning Flash, html etc…). We can deploy and
alter the OMS to fit all necessary issues, from simple web management to
intricate shipping, receiving and SEO work. The OMS also is a media tool for
live video and audio publishing. We wanted a tool that could be built upon for
years to come, to continue to grow as we did — and provide a tool like no other
on the market.
The tool set has grown into a widely used and constantly
growing set of functionality. Currently, the OMS is being used by
The Case Foundation (AOL founder Steve Case),
DayStar Technologies,
Autocom America,
British American Publishing and many more.
In 2004, Overit Media found a new home in downtown Albany. We wanted a
really creative atmosphere that was in a central location and just a fun place
to work and be. Because, we do perceive ourselves as the sum of our work, where
we work is almost as important as who we are.
